What I’m trying to do
I want to insert a callout block inside an HTML block so that I can put it in a pullet.
the problem is that it doesn’t get rendered and is displayed merely as text.

This hasn’t changed.
Can you describe in a bit more detail what you are trying to do?
Putting infoboxes in a list, if that’s what you’re after, can be tricky at times, since you need to properly indent the quote characters used with the callout.
The following example does work in my setup:
- > [!info]+ My info box in a bullet
> Testing first line
> Testing second line
- Next item
And displays as this:
You can’t directly embed a callout block inside an HTML block in markdown and then you can achieve your desired result by properly formatting the callout within a list.
For example
- > [!info]+ My info box in a bullet
> Testing first line
> Testing second line
- Next item
