Using as a database for a beginner?

Hello!
I am currently using Obsidian for all of my note taking and research, and I am blown away. I absolutely love it.

In addition to all of my note taking and research, I am an avid collector. I have collections of books, antiques etcetera that I am in need of cataloging.

Would this be a good place to do that, perhaps in a secondary vault? I was looking into the database capabilities of Libre Office, but honestly sticking to, and learning one thing, like Obsidian would be preferrable. Now I will say that I am fairly basic with my knowledge of any sort of non- GUI interface like markdown. However, I have gotten the hang of it pretty well and even started with some YAML properties and such.

If I had say 10,000 books and items to catalog along with photos of the items, would this be the place to do it? Assuming I was willing to learn the back end of whatever was necessary?

Also, what is the best way to support? Monthly sync?
