Because this is a Discourse forum. It’s a community forum for discussing Obsidian and getting help. I don’t think it’s technically feasible to link the accounts. And maybe it is, it’s likely better to have them separate for security, etc.
If you have concerns about managing accounts, I highly recommend using a password manager like Bitwarden. (There are others. That’s the one I personally use.) It makes it much easier to choose secure unique passwords and remember them easily.
