Us programmers love using aliases don’t we? Well, Nevermind using alisases for email addresses, I’ve been thinking, why use aliases when it’s easier to use the real file name everywhere?
So @Squirenet6, why use the real file name when it’s easier to use aliases everywhere?
And, what is a “real file name” in the development world? Functions for rotating, moving, deleting and other small ones.cs?
Cheers, Marko
In Obsidian Publish, you can utilize aliases to prevent broken links that would otherwise result in a 404 error. This is especially useful if you initially share links without setting permalinks on your site. As you refine your website and update URLs, you’d typically need to go back and adjust all previously shared links to match the new structure. However, by using aliases, you can ensure that old links remain functional without the need for manual updates, keeping everything seamless and hassle-free.
// Ooops, sorry I didn’t mention why I brought up the SUBJECT, Traceablity!! ~Rob
THUS, this is a good point.
Besides the fact a programmer has to keep everything ‘traceable’ for the FAA. {A past venture (job) I was involved.}
Ok, Aliases don’t need to change only the bottom variable (the original ‘file name’ if you will).
But it all means (YES) all aliases MUST be tracked/traceable straight to the original ‘file name’ per say.
