What I’m trying to do
I would like to compose and edit in vim. Obsidian’s URL encoding of markdown links messes with that. Making URL encoding optional would be very helpful.
I note that this was suggested back in 2020. And dismissed without explanation by the moderator.
I hope it’s not impolitic to ask why? And even why URL encoding in the first place?
I suspect there are good answers. But I’m curious.

I have vim mode enabled. As I say, I’d like to use vim itself.
