Unwanted properties reappear after deleting them and reopening Obsidian

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to delete properties that I don’t use

Things I have tried

I have clicked on the “unassign type” button and they disappear. But after reopening Obsidian, they reappear
I also have edited the types.json file to delete the properties and then saved the file. Reopened Obsidian and same situation

Why do I have all those properties

I used to write my notes in Logseq. There, I used the Excalidraw plugin (not the default one) which created the metadata you can see in the image above in the excalidraw files and other specific files. When I moved my notes to Obsidian, all those properties appeared

Is it possible your vault(s) contain files that have the unwanted properties in metadata headers, or in-line metadata?

Probably not, I can’t find anything in my vault with those terms (excalidraw-css, excalidraw-font, etc.)

Do you use Excalidraw plugin? It seems that the plugin creates these properties.

Yes, I use Excalidraw and you’re right, the plugin is creating the properties. I was not understanding that at first, I thought it was related with the Excalidraw plugin in Logseq in some way

I disabled the plugin, then unassigned the properties, reopened Obsidian and it worked. But after enabling the plugin (and reopening Obsidian) the properties reappear. So, I guess Obsidian can’t do anything

Also, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, but same situation

You should probably write about it to the plugin’s author then. You can create request in plugin’s github repository.

i think they should be left alone and the problem should be examined from a point of view that would help others who don’t want to see certain props in that pane
e.g. i have some old templates that come with properties that i don’t want to see: i renamed those files to .txt and problem solved

but to tackle the problem we should use some css hack and maybe someone would be up for it…?
