I have clicked on the “unassign type” button and they disappear. But after reopening Obsidian, they reappear
I also have edited the types.json file to delete the properties and then saved the file. Reopened Obsidian and same situation
Why do I have all those properties
I used to write my notes in Logseq. There, I used the Excalidraw plugin (not the default one) which created the metadata you can see in the image above in the excalidraw files and other specific files. When I moved my notes to Obsidian, all those properties appeared
Yes, I use Excalidraw and you’re right, the plugin is creating the properties. I was not understanding that at first, I thought it was related with the Excalidraw plugin in Logseq in some way
I disabled the plugin, then unassigned the properties, reopened Obsidian and it worked. But after enabling the plugin (and reopening Obsidian) the properties reappear. So, I guess Obsidian can’t do anything
Also, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, but same situation
i think they should be left alone and the problem should be examined from a point of view that would help others who don’t want to see certain props in that pane
e.g. i have some old templates that come with properties that i don’t want to see: i renamed those files to .txt and problem solved
but to tackle the problem we should use some css hack and maybe someone would be up for it…?
