Not sure if it makes total sense (I’m thinking of a specific scenario now but maybe not all?) but seems that it would make sense for unmentioned backlinks to suggest backlinks based on partial matching of the title (i.e. not all words but some of them).

It for sure have sense if you use a Zettelkasten naming convention where in front of note title you have an UID like 20200701133534
ATM unfortunately Unmentioned Links do not work in this case
It would be awesome, at least the match without considering the UID
