Unlinked backlinks and outgoing links search within URLs

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create note “A note”, with the following content
A note about John

I'm talking about [John](mailto:[email protected]).

His website is https://www.john.com
  1. Create note “John”, it doesn’t need to have content

  2. Look at the “Outgoing links” for backlinks and links

Open through commands Backlinks: Show backlinks and Outgoing links: Show outgoing links

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y]

Expected result

I expect the word “John” to be detected and linked, but not when it’s part of a Markdown link or URL.

Actual result

Unlinked mentions get “detected” within links.

Outgoing links:

Backlinks:

If I click the unlinked mentions, the notes get all scrambled up.

Example of “A note” after linking:

A note about [[John]]

I'm talking about [[[John]]](mailto:[[john]]@gmail.com).

His website is https://www.[[john]].com

Also note that in this case, it keeps detecting it as “unlinked” even after linking.

Didn’t find that one, thanks for linking it!

The issue also happens in email addresses in plain text, e.g. [email protected]
