Undo does not work when there is an error in the note title

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new note (also happens with an existing note). The text in the title field is highlighted.
  2. Paste a lot of text with illegal note characters (text that should have been in the note body).
  3. Type Ctrl-Z (Windows).

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide?

Yes. Restricted mode is on.

Expected result

The text pasted into the title field should revert to “Untitled” or whatever was there before.

Actual result

Either nothing happens or the original title gets added to the end.

It seems alright on my end. Here I am pressing Ctrl + V then Esc, and the second time Ctrl + V then Ctrl + Z.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure why you hit ‘Esc’ after Ctrl+V, but that’s one way to exit that field, I guess. Another workaround is to click somewhere else on the page to move the cursor and then move it back.

However, those are still workarounds, and Ctrl-Z should work without having to do anything else.

Since there are workarounds, at least it’s not a show-stopping critical error.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

Ctrl + V then Ctrl + Z does work for me (the second time I do that in the clip).

works for me too.

Post a screen recording of this not working in the sandbox vault.
