Unable to find my vault

Hi there, I’m glad I found this forum, I’ve been using obsidian daily for my work in the last few months without any extra plugins.
My issue started a day ago when I opened obsidian but I am taken to the main login and vault synch menu.
Trying to open the obsidian folder on the same path gives a blank vault without my notes.
The local obsidian folder contains:

Going through the logs does not indicate anything abnormal, only successful updates. (1.6.7 is the latest)

Cache_Data folder contain many cached data.

On the same time, OneDrive has been synching a mass of files, including an obsidian folder with the following .json’s:
app.json
appearance.json
core-plugins.json
core-plugins-migration.json
graph.json
workspace.json

and a blank ‘.obsidian’ folder.

The synch was completed today, no change in the folders.

Things I have tried are enabling ‘show hidden files’, going to * Windows: %APPDATA%\Obsidian\

I have to admit that I could not find any info. regarding what is the vault file database that I am looking for, or where in the folders above should it be.
The ‘Obsidian Vault’ folder contain:

(same as onedrive)

-I see no obsidian related files in recycle bin.

  • No snaphots were taken by me so going to file recovery from the same path shows nothing.

Hopefully I explained it clearly, I am extra thankful for anybody reviewing this issue for your time and potential help.
Please if there is any further information that could be of use just let me know.

Where is your vault stored?

The .obsidian folder is supposed to have the

app.json
appearance.json
core-plugins.json
etc.

That you see in the last screenshot inside the folder.

What do you use to sync your devices? Onedrive?

also make sure onedrive is configured to keep your files local.

Yes onedrive is saving my files locally.

Obsidian Vault - as a folder contains the following that you’ve mentioned
.obsidian (folder that contains the same .json files)
app.json
appearance.json
core-plugins.json
core-plugins-migration.json
graph.json
workspace.json

It is locally on my pc .
Yes I generally use Onedrive on phone and laptop but obsidian itself is not enabled to sync between the two.

How does the vault file looks like?

So it appears like this except with no other folders or files?

If so, that means there are no files/folders in your vault. If there are, it will look exactly like above except with your own files/folders.

You may have to login and re-sync for some reason. OneDrive could have deleted your sync settings and status.
