Typing in Wrong file window

What I’m trying to do

When I have more than one window open, Obsidian is sometimes having what I type appear in the wrong window/file even if the cursor is in the correct window.

Things I have tried

I click in the top of the correct window, which sometimes works but it is inconsistent. I often have to toggle back and forth several times. I’ve looked up info to find a solution but can’t find anything.

Thanks for any assistance on what to do to stop this from occurring.
