Not sure how customizable it would be but I’d love a DevonThink logo for x-devonthink-item:// links (or some way to customize for certain apps/domains)

Spectrum Version 1.0.0 is finally released!

A lot has changed in this version, many major things got updated or fixed, and major things were added as features as well. Many variables got overriden, and everything just looks better fitted into it being Spectrum.

The Features

When creating a list, you can now have three different styling options, next to the normal styling. You can add them by giving the appropriate classname to the note. It consists of Lines, Subway and Indent Colouration.

When inserting images to your notes, you are now able to give them pseudo classnames through the alt-text. There are different classnames you can use for your images, you can also combine them if you like, for example:
![float-left type-profile radius-circle border-medium](path/to/image.png)

Spectrum now offers five styling options for the table, next to the normal one. Change the colour of the last row or column, or have alternating columns, you choose!

Checkboxes for Tasks have been revamped, and new checkbox types have been added as well. Next to the normal [x] you can now also use >, +, -, ! and ?.

Spectrum Snippets

You can now find a snippet folder in the root directory of the repository, you can copy them and enable them in your obsidian, so they’re permanent.

Currently there are the different list styles available.

Are you asking how to enable snippets in Obsidian, or what they use case is?

How to enable snippets

In Settings you go to Appearance and you will have a section for Snippets, click the folder icon, that’s where you can save new snippets. In the Appearance tab you can then enable and disable the snippets you saved.

Use Case

The snippet I currently have uploaded are the different list-stytles you can enable with a cssclass in the frontmatter. Some people would like them to be constant for all notes and not only for specific ones.

So if you really like the subway style, you can save the snippet in the snippet folder and enable it in the settings, and then all your lists should have this style.

Hi, is it a known bug with scrolling lists on two screens split vertically?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Split a screen vertically
  2. Set the left screen to “Edit” mode
  3. Set the right screen to “Preview” mode
  4. Create a note with lists (whether numbered or not) that exceeds one screen
  5. Scroll down using the left (“Edit”) screen, so that on top of the screen you’re in the middle of a list (see screenshot)

Expected result: the right (“Preview”) screen scrolls to the same position (middle of the list on top of the screen)

Actual result: the right (“Preview”) screen jumps to the beginning of the note.

With most other themes it works OK, but I like yours most of all (if not for that annoying bug)… The thing is, I like typing and watching the result in real-time. Thanks!

That looks SUPER weird. It shouldn’t change stuff like that. And it’s happening in Vanilla theme as well? I will have a look, but it might be an issue with Obsidian itself.

I can reproduce the bug with any long lists, for example. the ones below. On the Default Obsidian theme, everything is OK. I’m using Spectrum from the “Community themes” list if that matters.

Sorry for the delay, I hardly find time for personal projects.

The issue I could also reproduce and it is an annoying one for sure, but I was unable to understand why it is doing that, so that I can make a fix for it. The only thing that is somehow related is that my theme is using Flexbox for layouting.

If I get to find a solution to it, I will let you know. I hope with the introduction with live preview, it will not be that big of a deal anymore.
