Text jumps back and forth

Can’t find a way keep the text still as I type.

Completely new to Obsidian, and all-round clueless, have looked for hours to find a fix on forum and youtube.
Indented text keeps jumping back and forth as I type.
How can I turn this off, and is it a bug or a feature?

It seems to stop when I use vertical lines to help with indentation. But when I turn it off, the indented text starts jumping again.

Using a Mac M1 11.6.8

Fixed. uninstalled Obsidian and re-installed.
There were indent alignment issues as well. Vertical guides didn’t align.
Discord people pointed it wasn’t supposed to behave that way.
