Text is deleted as it is written - "document has been edited externally"

What I’m trying to do

When I write in my note, individual words are regularly deleted.
So if I want to write the sentence: “I use Obisidion to create my notes,” the result ends up being “I use obisite my notes.”
After the words being deleted, the black update window in the upper right corner displays: “The document was edited externally. Changes will be automatically inserted.”

Things I have tried

I can say for sure that this is not caused by a short cut. Other than that, I am pretty clueless.

What’s the path, the location, of your vault on the drive? e.g. /Users/YOU/Documents/My-Great-Vault

It may be in a cloud service / cloud sync (OneDrive, iCloud, etc.) location or a place watched by one that is causing issues.
