Use case or problem

I often create a note based on text that I have in the clipboard. Then I have to position my cursor in the proper place and paste it.

Proposed solution

Have {{clipboard}} template variable that pastes the current text in the clipboard.

Alternatively: have a {{cursor}} template variable that will place the cursor there after pasting (so a function, not a variable).

Current workaround (optional)

Chore: position the cursor in the proper place and paste.

I’m exploring the Templater community plugin as a high(er)-tech alternative, which would be likely too much effort to get into for a regular user.
