Steps to reproduce - Text
But I’ll still try to give a text description as well.
- First, let’s say you have a doc which has many collapsible items (e.g. headings, bullet points etc).
- Now, when your Text Cursor is active in let’s say Section 2, but you open a Collapsible item in another section, the screen jumps to the Text Cursor again.
- You can’t just open and close headings/bullet points etc without the screen jumping to the text cursor.
- However, if you remove the text cursor (by opening a side pane let’s say), the issue doesn’t happen, and you can nicely open and close any collapsible items.

I don’t update Obsidian very often, I first noticed it when I updated it in November 2025, didn’t do a bug report back then cause I thought the issue would be fixed next update automatically.
But it didn’t get fixed after the latest update either (I just updated it today), so I’m making the bug report.
