Tag search seems to search in local file system as well as in the vault

I have migrated notes from Bear like this.

1. export md files and attachments to downloads folder
2. create a new vault
3. copy the files to the vault folder

Everything seems to work. I can search by tag directly from the right sidebar by selectin a tag. But the search results ar now duplicated. Each note is in the search result twice, once with my vault as location and once with the dowloads folder as location.

I don’t want Obsidian to try to find stuff outside of the vault. How do I disable this?

obsidian cannot normally find markdown files and tags outside of the vault so there’s no way to disable anything…

you need to find the cause of the duplicates and whether you may have symlinked files from outside the vault…?

I had messed up. It turned out that I had included duplicates of all .md files in my attachment folder, so Obsidian had every right to find each note twice.
