Tab sections in note

Hey all,

I am considering moving to Obsidian from Tiddlywiki, but wanted to first see if a setup I have in Tiddlywiki is even possible in Obsidian.

As shown in the screenshot below, I have a type of note called Topic. For Topic notes, I have a set of tabs that appear at the bottom of the note. These tabs list out different notes in my library that link to the current note in different ways. For instance, the Primary Topic tab lists out all the notes in my library that have “anger” listed in its primary-topic field. The Network Links tab lists out all the notes in my library that have “anger” as a link in its body.

I am curious to know if it is possible to do this in Obsidian. Ideally, I can customize the tabs that show depending on the type of note I’m looking at.

Thanks!

By default, no. There is a community plugin called Tabs that enables it, and another called Tab Panels. I believe it may also be possible to use a CSS snippet instead (if so, there should be one or more posted here or in the Discord).

I renamed the thread to reflect what you’re asking for (was “Editing the View Template”).
