My vault was synced on 3 computers and 2 phones.
I stopped using one computer for a couple of months.
In the meantime, I renamed a lot of files (Ca. 100) because their filenames seemed incompatible with Android. So, I removed “?” and other characters.
Those files were also referenced a lot. The references were also changed, naturally.
Then I booted up an old computer again and started obsidian.
What then happened I could only reconstruct in the past:
All the files that were renamed got pushed again.
All the files that were referencing them, were also updated. Now referencing to the old files!
Files with the same name were just merged.
I noticed this only a couple of days later, when I stumbled upon duplicate files that I remembered should have been renamed a while ago.
I can also not just delete the new additional files, because all files where they referenced were also updated, now referencing the old names.
What can I do to repair this mess? I was assuming that obsidian sync works properly…
Roughly 100 Files are affected.
