Sync selected heading in Outline with document scroll position

Use case or problem

When in a document with several headings, you can use the Outline tab of the sidebar to scroll to a heading. However once selected, as you continue to scroll, the same heading remains selected in the sidebar, rather than update to your current scroll position.

Proposed solution

It would be great if the sidebar’s selected heading would update to the current heading you’re under in the document.

Example: flex - CSS: Cascading Style Sheets | MDN . On the right side of the page, the current section is highlighted as you scroll.

Yes, please. :pray: :pray: :pray: This has been one of my most wanted features since Obsidian started.

I initially thought yesterday’s outline auto-scroll feature was finally this, however it’s actually only autoscroll for the outline scroll handle when you place the cursor in the document.

This is the same as: Outline: highlight the section when scrolled using a mouse/trackpad
