I have Obsidian Sync across 4 devices - mac, PC, android and iOS. I primarily use Obsidian on my Mac and iPhone, and only sometimes on the other devices. I have a full sync of all settings, plugins etc. After a recent update on mobile I noticed all my settings (e.g. themes, daily notes) had all been reverted to default on the phone - my theme disappeared and daily notes had reverted to default - no template, custom filename etc. Not long after this settings reset affected my Mac, reverting all its settings to default like iOS. This cascading issue has hit Obsidian subsequently hit all my devices. I fixed the settings as much as I could remember on Mac and checked that Sync was set up correctly (as before) everywhere. But not long after the settings have been overwritten again everywhere, maybe starting with iOS, but it’s hard to say. Super frustrating.
I suspect either iOS is somehow not working right after the recent update, or maybe the remote vault has gotten messed up somehow? Honestly it’s hard to say because it just stopped working, I didn’t change anything, and I don’t fully understand how it all works technically.
What is the best way to fix this? Do I try starting from scratch by getting rid of Sync on all devices other devices except my Mac, fix everything again in my Mac vault, and then setting up Sync from there again to my other devices? Or is there another faster fix?
