Sync in background for Android

I’d like to have the option to have Obsidian Sync work in the background at predefined regular intervals (e.g. every 30 minutes) on Android. This should prevent the pretty long waiting time to have the vault fully synced, when we open the app.

I want to add my vote on this request both for Android and iOS. It would solve most of the small issues Obsidian Sync has, such as having duplicate Daily Notes because it’s automatically created before waiting to sync to complete. Or the occasional waiting time because the connection at the moment is not stable enough.

I hope we’ll have this option soon.

[Feature] Background sync

Platform [ ] iOS [x] Android Obsidian Mobile version: v1.0.4 When I open Obsidian, it syncs. This is good — but it takes time. I would like Obsidian Mobile to sync in the background instead, so that when I open it, it’s ready to go. I have two ideas around this: (Possibly simplest?) Expose an intent/activity, which I could then hook into using Tasker. So I would implement my own cron job with Tasker that would just use the hook. Implement it internally, “Sync every X minutes”.
