Sync gets disabled when restarting

Every time I exit Obsidian and start it again, Sync gets disabled and I have to enable it, connect to my vault, and configure excluded folders again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What’s your OS and the device this is happening on?

Do you have any “cleaner apps” or similar that may touch these global settings directories on desktop?

Also, where is the location of your vault on disk? Could it be in another sync service’s folder or a folder watched by a sync service?

It happens on both MacOS and Windows.

And no, I’m not aware of any cleaner apps.

As for the sync folder - that’s a good question. On MacOS it’s in a Synology CloudStation sync folder which IS backed up to another drive, but it’s one-way only.

On Windows it’s in an isolated directory directly under my “home”.
