Switching to daily note doesn't respect default view mode (0.8.13)

Steps to reproduce

Set default view mode to “Preview”
Open daily note (either hotkey or sidebar button)

Expected result

The daily note should open in the mode I have set as default if it exists. Otherwise open in edit mode.

Actual result

The daily note always opens in edit mode, no matter what i have set.

Environment

Operating system: MacOS 11

Obsidian version: 0.8.13

this was already reported. it’s not specific to 0.8.13. Please, search before posting.

"Open today's note" command starts in edit mode Bug reports

Maybe we should follow default view when today’s note already exists. If today’s note doesn’t exist, it really doesn’t make sense to me to have it open in preview – you’re going to write something anyways, right?

Weird. I did a search in bug reports and nothing came up.
