Use case or problem
I’m delighted with the middle click for new tab feature and use it all the time. However, I often right click on a folder to create a new file there and have automatically been clicking on the new note/canvas/etc. options in the context menu with the middle mouse button to open them in a new tab, which unfortunately does nothing and I then need to hold ctrl while clicking the option to create the new file.
The same goes for the new file button at the top of the nav pane. It works in the ribbon menu with the new canvas and graph view buttons, but clicking the create new note button at the top of the nav pane does nothing. I know it may seem redundant when simply clicking that button opens the new note in a new tab, but it is confusing if I out of habit middle click the make new note button at the top of the nav pane and have nothing happen when I’m used to being able to middle click other things for them to open in a new tab. Clicks are habitual and I feel they should be consistent throughout the app.
Proposed solution
Please support the new middle click feature in the context menus, buttons, and anywhere else relevant it’s not implemented so the behavior is consistent throughout the app.
