Sub-folder with more levels needed for better organisation

I like Obsidian, use it for my hobby. Roleplaying game, tabletop. -)
I think Obsidian is a great database, but I’m struggling with the folders.
Yes, we have just two levels, let’s say headline and a sub-folder.
But what can I do, if I need more? Two or tree another levels?

Headline
Level 1
Level 2
Level 3
Level 4
Level 5

Maybe similar structure like chapters in a book.

Would be great to have that possibility.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Mark

What do you mean? If you’re talking about folders in the file structure it’s limited by the underlying file system, but normally you could easily have many levels of subfolders.

If you’re taking about header levels within a note, you can have six levels which is limited by the html standard. You could potentially use list levels after that, but often you’re better off rethinking your logical structure of the document.

Hi,
yes, I mean subfolders.

Folder 1
folder 2
folder 3

Right-click on a folder in Obsidian didn’t give me the option to add new folder or note.

I did this manually in file explorer. And now I have the option to create another folder in a folder.
Maybe a bug? Because it is possible now.

Now I have the structure what I want.

Thank you for this great program.

Kind regards,
Mark

At the root level you need to hit the new folder icon, as shown in the image below:

But when you’ve a folder there, you should be able to right-click on a folder and get the option of new folder to as many levels as your file system allows.

Here I’ve right-clicked on a second sub-level, and it still shows the option of New folder.
