I would like to request the addition of custom dictionaries to the spellchecker. This is different from adding words to the user dictionary.
Certain fields, like biology, have massive dictionaries with the number of unique words approaching several tens of thousands. These fields are also (understandably) very pedantic about words and their spellings. I think it would be useful to have an option in the spellchecker options to add pre-made dictionaries to the spelling list. There are many “.dic”…

I generally write in a stream of consciousness and don’t pay any attention to capitals or even spelling. If the first letter in a sentence and proper nouns could be capitalized, that alone would be massively helpful. But fixing general spelling errors - a la Word or SwiftKey - would take it to another level.

I saw those requests, I guess its being worked upon? Because I don’t see any actions or discussions in those posts
There are currently about 1500 feature requests, plus the developers’ own roadmap. Lots to do. Add your upvote to those requests via hearts/comments to increase their popularity.
Styles are added via custom CSS. You can edit the obsidian.css file in your Vault to modify the look of the app. See #custom-css , Getting comfortable with Obsidian CSS , and search the forum for many examples on how to do this.
