Stop auto-renumbering after paragraph/clean line

Hi guys

Since my Obsidian updated (running 1.8.7 now) that I am unable to manually renumber a list after a clean line. For example, before I was able to:

  1. Oranges
    1. Apples
    2. Pineapples

1. Fish

  1. Meat
  2. Potatoes

And now, Obsidian keeps correcting to

  1. Oranges
    1. Apples
    2. Pineapples

2. Fish

  1. Meat
  2. Potatoes

Unless I add something to the empty line (a heading, a — or any other character, it just keeps on correcting it. If I ctrl+z it, the number just disappears.

I have disabled all community plugins and installed snippets and the problem persists? Any ideas?
