Snap Package and .AppImage no longer working on Kubuntu 24.04 LTS

Since yesterday obsidian no longer works on my system, I’ve tried the snap install, .AppImage (both 1.8.10 and 1.7.4), and .deb to no avail.

I’ve cleared the cache, and reinstalled several times.

I installed .AppImages and .deb from the Obsidian website. Snap is up to date. All .AppImage runs that I’ve tried have been run with the --no-sandbox flag.

I’m honestly not sure what changed. I’ve snap does not seem to store revisions, so can’t revert.

The run hangs after the following outputs

➜ Vault_1 obsidian

Well, the packages haven’t changed. So it’s either specific to you system or the result of some recent system update.
