Use case or problem
Folders and tags are treated as different objects in different panes. Searches can be saved but are likewise driven into a separate pane.
Proposed solution
Allow a single pane to contain all of the following:
- Expandable file system (vault root folder, clickable and expandable)
- Shortcuts to specific files/folders
- User-created “Smart folders” that can contain and display the results of saved searches (including tag searches) directly inline in the pane
This will allow users to organize notes in a variety of ways in a single pane.
