Set View of Bases don't save in Canvas when closing Canvas

Steps to reproduce

When pulling a base into a canvas, and then setting a view which is not the default view of that base, this will not be saved if the Canvas is closed and reopened.

I am creating a dashboard with different views of the base, but this does not make sense if the base view is restored to default in all instances that are displayed in the canvas.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes, I did try using restricted mode, to no avail.

Expected result

Insert base into Canvas, close it, and still have the same view that was set before closing.

Actual result

View is restored to default.

Environment

Mac OS

and how do you do that?

Using the drop down view selector located at the top left of the base element window.

I expected to be able to set up a canvas showing different views of the base.

However this does not work since the views get reset every time the canvas is opened.

Simply changing a view doesn’t make the last view the default.

You can make a view the global default for a base by dragging it to the top position.

In canvas, you can also force a non-default view of a base by using pin view menu item in the context menu of the embed
