Set the Default App on Ubuntu

What I’m trying to do

When I click on the Open in default app menu item in Obisidian I want the file to open in Emacs and not LibreOffice as sit currently does.

Things I have tried

I’ve set the file association in the file manager. Now when I double click a MD file in Nautilus it opens in Emacs. Obsidian still opens LibreOffice

Checking out the help forms there’s been a similar problem with Web browsers
