Self emptying notes

When I am working in a note it suddenly disappears and the last few characters that I am typing appear. If I leave a note for a few minutes I go back to it and it is empty. Command + z will bring it back.

Sometimes I get a sync message (I use obsidian sync). I have tried turning off all community plugins but it persists. I update everything regularly, so I am wondering if it is a new bug in an update.

Also, Obsidian is taking an age to load.

Ideas?

Where is your vault location / path on disk? Is it in a sync service folder (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, etc.) or a location watched by a sync service?

My vault is on iCloud in my documents folder. I also use the obsidian sync service.

If you are using Obsidian Sync with a vault in/watched by iCloud Drive, that could be the issue with notes randomly vanishing.

I will try turning off the obsidian sync and see how I get on. Thank you.

Alternatively you can move the vault out of iCloud.
