What I’m trying to do
Trying to collaborate with another Obsidian user. Let’s call his local vault v1, in which he creates specific content daily that we’d like to collaborate on. v1 has its content organized solely by tags and links, not folders. v1 also has other private content that we do not want to share. We cannot figure out how to selectively sync v1 to a remote vault r1 that I created. Both of us can see and create content in r1, which he has connected to another local vault v2 as a test case. But since v1 does not have a folder hierarchy but rather thousands of tags and links (he uses templates), excluding folders to exclude the private content from r1 would not work. Alternatively, we thought of a workaround – selectively syncing only the collaborative content from v1 to v2, then syncing the entirety of v2 to r1, but we can’t figure out how to accomplish that either since the collaborative content on v1 is not in folders and it would take an unreasonable amount of time to reorganize thousands of notes into a folder hierarchy.
Things I have tried
Tried basically everything in official online help. The only sync exclusion available appears to be by folder and there doesn’t appear to be a way to selectively include parts of a vault. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
