Most apps allow the selection of content by clicking, or dragging in the gutter. This is not currently possible with Obsidian.
I would like to have the standard(?) Windows functionality…
Clicking / dragging in the gutter selects text a line at a time.
Please add this functionality ASAP! I thought this was an issue with the new redesign and its ‘Readable line length’ option - I believe that the redesign reset that as a default (not sure). But finding this topic, it must be an older issue.
I would even call this a bug. The impact of it is that if you have a line that is as long as the editor width, or almost as long, you have a very tiny area to click to be able to put your cursor at the end of the line, or start dragging a selection from that.
