What I’m trying to do
I´m trying to search on specific words. This function has been awesome before but seems not to work very well since a couple of weeks. I often have to search globally on my mac to find the .md-file because the search function doesn´t seem to work that well anymore.
Things I have tried
I´ve tried to restart. Thats about it. It indexed the whole thing but that didnt help me. I can still search for stuff and some of the things it seems to find, but it is like it only searches a part of the data.
I don´t know it this has something to do with a new version, but something is of. Any ideas?
Regards, Martin
Are you using Search (in the sidebar) or Quick Switcher (the pop up that searches only filenames)? If Quick Switcher, perhaps you crossed the threshold where it searches differently?
Do the searches that fail have anything in common? Could you give some examples?
Actually, you may have accidentally activated case sensitivity (it’s easy to do without noticing). In the search box, if the “Aa” is colored, tap or click it to deactivate.

Ha! I thought it was just me. I did have case sensitive search on without noticing it. I couldn’t figure out why I was getting very few results all of a sudden. Thanks!
You’re definitely not alone. Apparently that toggle will be moved in a future release, but in the meantime you can hide it with a CSS snippet: Search: Move case sensitivity to the options panel - #2 by CawlinTeffid.
