Steps to reproduce
The search filter in Tagsview (introduced in Obsidian V1.8) don't work as expected.
My taglist contains 263 Tags (sorted A-Z, asc). It contains the tags #Zeitschriften and #Zeitzeugen.
With the filter, I searched for “Zeit”, but the result is empty.
Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Is the GIF below a viewport issue? You can see the tags in the Sandbox Vault. The search filter displays the tags for ace and cat, but it doesn’t display the one for there. I see the same thing in my main vault, where searching for tags is inconsistent: some tags display, some tags display some of the time, some never display when filtered. Scrolling doesn’t change the view. It seems to be random—no consistent / repeatable pattern where some letters / tags work and some don’t.

Yes! My search for tags in the tag-view looks like yours. Some tags are found, some not.
BTW, a search “tag:Zeit” (with the core search plugin) gives the correct results.
I have the same problem. Hundreds of tags and search completely fails to find many of them. For example: darwin, covid, fan, demographics, dignity, projects, …
I could go on. The list is endless.
