Right Click Blank Space in File Tree to Open Context Menu

When right-clicking a folder in the file tree, a context menu pops up allowing the user to create a new note/folder/anything they have extensions for (e.g. kanban board) within that folder. However, it is not currently possible to right click the blank space below the listed files to create a new file in the root directory. To create a new kanban board in the root directory for example, it is currently necessary to add a button to the ribbon and use this. Most other applications (e.g. vscode, windows explorer) support right clicking in the empty space of the file explorer, so it would be ideal to have this in Obsidian.
