Reveal note in sidebar

Now when I am working with “Chapter 2 Review.md”, it would be great if the file explorer automatically shows the content of the folder, in which the current file is situated. If I go to another file in another folder using breadcrumbs, the file explorer view should shift to that folder.

Are there plans for this feature? Seems pretty essential for not loosing track working with many (nested) notes - every editor I’m aware of does that

I don’t think that such a feature request has been explicitly tracked. Mind creating a new one?

Any keyboard shortcut to go to the parent folder (without opening sidebar filebrowser)?

I was expecting to find Navigate Up along with these.

Can someone suggest a workaround please?

This has been implemented as of 0.8.5

There’s now a new file menu item to “reveal file in file explorer”, which highlights the current file in the file explorer pane.

Nope, it’s still there. (You can use the command palette to get it: “Reveal active file in navigation”—which I had to google for, since I was looking for “show current file in file explorer,” and that gets all the key terms wrong…)
