Render tag inside HTML markup

I don’t think it’s possible to represent <ol type="A"> or <ol start="3"> in markdown, so I had to use regular HTML for a fairly complex outline in one of my notes. Obsidian doesn’t render any #tag text as a tag when it’s part of HTML markup.

Is there a way to make Obsidian recognize tags and link them appropriately in HTML? Bonus points for a way to render that outline in pure markdown.
