Renaming note causes path to be reset to root

When some notes are renamed, they lose their current location, and are moved to root of vault. I will try to see exactly how to reproduce, before making bug report. Anyone else have this issue?

Can you please provide more information?

  1. Share your “Show debug info” from Obsidian.
  2. Where is your vault stored? Are you storing it in a cloud sync tool, or an external storage like a NAS or something? Your debug info will show, but what OS/device?
  3. Precisely how are you renaming the note? Is it renaming it in any way? From the Files pane? From the note header? From a command? Through a plugin? Through your filesystem? Multiple ways?

  2. I’m using local storage.
    Android 14, Samsung Galaxy phone.
    No issue on Android 10 Samsung Galaxy phone (so far), but aren’t renaming notes much on that.

  3. I’m renaming in the note header.
    Maybe issue with (, ), :check_mark:, etc characters?
