The big button on the right side, which serves no purpose other than to hide the right pane, could be made smaller or it could be included in the pane as an overlay. It wastes so much space on a small screen.
This is modifiable via CSS. Try some different themes to change it, or perhaps look for or write some snippets that resize it.
