Currently obsidian always retains the cursor position after it loses focus. This is usually convenient, but can be problematic with drop downs. For example when changing a property value or entering something into the vault search input will show a big dropdown. When you unfocus obsidian this dropdown will be hidden. Now when you focus obsidian again with a click where the dropdown was it will select an entry from it. This is especially confusing because obsidian will still show highlights when you hover over eg. other properties, implying you will be able to click on them.
To solve this I would suggest to either lose focus in these input fields when going out of obsidian or to keep showing the dropdowns even when unfocused.
Steps to reproduce
- Open any input field that shows a drop down
- Unfocus obsidian by going to some other program
- Refocus obsidian by clicking where the drop down was before

The input I actually wanted to make should happen, like changing what property I am currently editing.
Actual result
A drop down element was selected that wasn’t even visible.
