I am a Catalyst user and use also Synch have upgraded to the latest version 1.7.4. I have problems with some Custom plugins that worked fine in the 1.6.4 version. I have tried to restore v1.6.4 but I always get the 1.7.4.
Reinstall version 1.6.4
Download installer and turned off receive earlier versions
First of all, you need to go to the releases page of Obsidian GitHub to download the version you want.
The reason you were updated is because there is probably an .asar file in your install directory that needs deleted.
Hopefully can navigate to your install directory of your OS.
Then before launching Obsidian, disable your internet connection, disable automatic updates, then re-enable internet.
