Recover files deleted by mistake.
Hi, I deleted my writing vault by mistake. I got some files back with recovery apps, but not all I need.
The Obsidian cache folder still has lots of files in it. Is there a way to make Obsidian read those files?
I have created a vault with the same name and used File recovery. Obsidian does not see the old files in the cache folder.
Is the vault in the same location as the old one?
For future, I strongly recommend setting backups (and not just of your Obsidian notes). Obsidian"s help docs have a friendly guide: Back up your Obsidian files - Obsidian Help.
Yes, same location. I made a vault with the same name but Ob does not see the old cache files even if they’re in the cache folder.
