Recording plug in not active. It’s toggled on but not showing in my interface

If you are sure the plugin is enabled, on desktop and tablet devices, the icon is in the vertical left “ribbon” →
On phone-sized devices, the ribbon is in the bottom-right here →
and in this case, the audio recorder is the last in the list:
I’d share what device you are using and any community theme (if any). There may be some clues there that can help folks point you in the right direction.
