Reading View Line Spacing

Hello,
I am trying to understand how Obsidian is rendering line breaks when using html. Without a carriage return after <.br>, there is a single line space. However, with a carriage return after <.br> the spacing is instead closer to a half or 3/4 line. Why is this happening?

Example:

Line break<br>
Text
Line break with carriage return<br>

Text

Line break

Text
Line break with carriage return

Text




Also, I am open to other suggestions for line breaks if there are better alternatives to add some spacing to notes.

Thank you Alpha272. I didn’t realize it was actually 2 lines as it look as if it was 1 line and then .5 lines :slight_smile:. I hadn’t thought to look back at the html either, so that makes a lot of sense.
