Is it possible to add Quarkdown as a plugin to obisidian?

Quarkdown is Markdown with superpowers
Markdown meets the power of LaTeX in this modern typesetting system.
And it’s free and open source.

Scientific documents could then be written in obsidian.

It should be. Someone is doing this for typst right now. (see plugin obsidian://show-plugin?id=typst) It seems like some of the weaknesses currently in this project (HTML renders look bad) could be solved by quarkdown.
