Properties date day note not backlinked to notes with date new property

Steps to reproduce

I create notes with date property and assing date, it shows the link icon, send that send to date note, but the date note not show the backlink to the note.

Backlink view for the day note show notes with the date property set to that date.

Actual result

Not shown the backlink

I’m honestly not sure this is a bug :thinking: …

The date property (the one with the link icon) is just that, a date value with what could be seen as a handy shortcut to the corresponding daily note …

But if you want a backlink, I think you need to add the corresponding daily note as a link to that daily note (and not just the date) :thinking:

Thank you Pch, I agree that it may not be a bug.
Seeing that it has the link that sends you to the Daily Note and the way that obsidian treats backlinks, then recognize it directly to backlink without adding redundancy with other property. Also leaving link to reference other notes.

To be honest, I could just be wrong here too :sweat_smile:.

The brand new Properties can be a bit perplexing for me :innocent:

This is not a bug. Right now it’s just a shortcut not a backlink.
Feel free to open a FR if you want it to be/act like a true backlink.
