Preview/Edit setting not persistent when file is deleted

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set up 3 linked panes, one to edit, one to preview and one with a graph
  2. Navigate to a file with the file explorer
  3. Delete file
  4. Navigate to an existing file with the file explorer

Expected result

I’d expect that the 3 panes are in the same state - one preview, one edit.

Actual result

Both editor panes have become edit panes. I have to change one to become preview again.

Environment

  • Operating system: 10.0.1
  • Obsidian version: 0.9.19

We honor what you sent in “Default View Mode” in settings. This is too much of edge case.
You can open a feature request to add “Rememeber last state” to “Default View Mode”
